Vanishing Florida–Photography by Kevin Boldenow

Artist Talk:  Thursday, April 11, 1:00 p.m., in the Lower Lobby of the Alan Jay Wildstein Performing Arts Center

Exhibit runs from February 6 to May 8, 2019

The sight and sound of heavy equipment has become prevalent all over Florida.  Where yesterday a forest stood proud, there was just a fine dust blowing softly in the air.  The ground is bare.  Treasures of our past lost forever.  Once these majestic structures are forgotten, it doesn’t take Mother Nature long to erase them from history.  Historic buildings are the physical manifestation of memory and it is memory that makes places significant.  Preserving our history, via the visual reminders of historic structures lend magic to our everyday experiences

Free & Open to the Public – No Reservations Necessary

Every great work of art has two faces, one toward its own time and one toward the future, toward eternity.
