MOFAC presents two exhibitions based on the Smithsonian traveling exhibition, Journey Stories. These exhibitions highlight Highlands County residents who moved here from other countries. Journey Stories: Paintings by Owen Jolly, features a selection of his paintings in oil, watercolor, and pastel. Jolly, a native from Jamaica, is inspired by everyday people, places, and things.
Journey Stories are tales of how we and our ancestors came to America. Highlands County residents have come here from Cuba, Jamaica, Greece, Burma, India and many other places. Journey Stories from Highlands County is an exhibit about people from other countries and their journey to Highlands County. Featured in the exhibit are: Dr. Tony Y. T. Chen, Herbert Donglasan, Pilar Eriksen, Dr. Robert Flores, Owen Jolly, Elsa Kahn, Dr. Michael Kahn, and Dr. Michael McLeod.
